Welcome to the Rotary Club of Pasadena, Texas web site, and thank you
for taking the time to visit. Our Club is a small part of a large
international organization but it is a big part of our members' lives.
With 157 members, we are the second largest club in District 5890. Rotary
International has over 32,500 clubs worldwide with one
and one quarter million members in more than 165
countries. We are proud to be part of
this group, the family of Rotary International that has dedicated itself
to "Service Above Self".
The Rotary International theme for 2006-2007 is "Leading
The Way" and we have
lived up to that mandate for many years. Numerous
local charities are at the
cornerstones for our local contribution of money and time. Our annual fundraiser
raises over $75,000 to fund the many programs we support. From collecting books
to go to Africa or teaching local children to fish or providing bicycles to children
whose families are unable to afford, ask anyone in Pasadena about the dedication
of the members of the Pasadena Rotary Club.
Our Club meets on Friday at 12:00 noon at the First United Methodist Church
on Fairmont Parkway in Pasadena. We enjoy great food, wonderful fellowship,
interesting speakers, and a great time. You are always welcome to visit
our club with one caution - the Pasadena Rotary Club can be addicting.
We are always looking for motivated individuals to help with our mission
of "Leading The Way".
Steve Thomas, Past President
